Who doesn't love Easter?

What a wonderful weekend!
The monkey and the ladybug have hunted eggs, eaten their fill of candy, and run in and out of the house most of the afternoon. We had a beautiful church service this morning , a lovely lunch at home [ just our 'little family' ] and are getting ready to have a nice salad for dinner.
Now, the countdown to the end of school begins - state tests are this week at the high school, and then at the monkey's school . I am just ready to be able to stay at home some this summer. The husband is already planning week-long trips to the farm, and I have lots of plans for here [ the fun of cleaning out the garage! The wonders of emptying three hall closets! The magic of giving away loads of unused toys and children's clothes !!!]
Today in Sunday School , our teacher reminded us that we are all called to 'give away everything you own, and go serve the Lord" . I am READY to go. Really.

Egg Hunt, Birthday Party

What a great weekend !
We had our church egg hunt Saturday morning. The monkey was amazing at the tug-o-war, and the ladybug played all the little kid games. They both hunted eggs in their age-level groups, and then we all went on the tractor ride. Monkey sat on the back with the other big boys, and we could hear them cheering each time they saw a cow "letting go" ..... ah, ten year old boys !
Ladybug's 'Tinkbell' birthday party was that afternoon - another great time ! Everyone jumped and ran and played with the new toys, and had lots of fun.
Yesterday was church, then we went to Sissie's house, to visit with Sissie, Julie, and baby Adeline. What a beautiful baby ! It would have been wonderful to have been able to hold either of my sweeties at that age!
Now it is Holy Week, and we are going to hide eggs, color eggs, make treats to take to school, and I just don't know what else, but it will all be fun !

Sick baby , sad baby

The Ladybug is ill. She started running fever on our way home from Nashville last weekend.[where Morgan was amazing in her school play, I can tell you] . The grandparents came and picked up the sick bug and took her to their home. Wednesday morning , she was still running fever, and it was 104. The hub and I left school, my mother came in, and we all six went to the doctor again. She has strep and something viral - but the doctor did not name that viral thing. I choose the name Rupert.
Now it is Saturday morning, my mother went home yesterday, and took the monkey with her. I hope the bug is ready for church tomorrow, because I plan to pass out her 'tinkbell' party invitations for next weekend.
When you are sick, it helps to hold a purple flower while you eat your morning oatmeal. You many not have been aware.
